Race Meeting Report - Thursday afternoon 6th March 2025

Thursday afternoon 6th March 2025 saw the Club conduct a nine (9) race meeting on a windy, Cyclone Alfred affected early Autumn's day.

The meeting included the presentation of awards for the 2024 racing season with awards presented as follows:

  • Multiquip Driver's Premiership: Tom Ison (58 wins)
  • THRC Trainers Premiership: Tom Ison (77 wins)
  • Sauers Glass Owners Premiership: Aaron Bain/Summit Bloodstock/Imperial Racing/R L Scott
  • Horse of the Year: Adrenaline Rush
  • Mare of the Year: Adrenaline Rush
  • John's Auto Service - Local Female Drivers Championship: Caitlin McElhinney
  • Peter & Shirley Hillam - Under 23 Drivers Premiership: Caitlin McElhinney (30 wins while < 23 years)
  • The Pub - Drive of the Year: Grace Panella for her drive on Four Feathers on 17th March 2024
  • THRC Encouragement Award: Kane Glasby

The Club also presented a cheque for $900 to The Friends of Nioka, with this being the charity portion of the ticket sales for the 2025 Multiquip Golden Guitar Calcutta, which was held at The Pub on the evening prior to the running of the race.

THE COMPETITION WINNERS WERE:

THE PUB DRIVE OF THE DAY: was won by EMMA ISON driving Bee Seventeen from her family's Warral Stables in Race 6 the The Pub - Drive of the Year Pace. The win also gave Emma a contribution of funds from HRNSW & THRC to the 2025 Team Teal Campaign.

HAZELLS FARM & FERTILISER SERVICES LOCAL TRAINER AWARD:

(a random draw from the 67 phone area trainers, who have a horse engaged in the race meeting)
