Race Meeting Report Thursday 7th October 2021

Thursday afternoon 7th October say a nine (9) race program run on an warm, Spring afternoon.

The program included eight (8) races which carried a $2,000 bonus if won by NSW Standardbred Owners Association Members. Three (3) NSWSOA Members were able to pick up the Bonus through the following race wins:

• Race 2 the Australian Pacing Gold Maiden Pace where MARLEY BROMAC who's owner, local Harness Racing identity Tanya Welsh picked up a Bonus. MARLEY BROMAC is trained by Warral trainer Andy Ison and was driven to victory by his son Tom with a margin of 12.5 metres in a MR of 1:59.1
• Race 3 the APG Sydney Sale 6th March Pace where MISS MARAVU won for owner Cathy Hewitt and picked up a bonus. MISS MARAVU is trained in Narrabri by Jarred Hetherington and was driven on the day by Tamworth local Murray Sullivan, taking the win by 12.1 metres in a MR of 2:00.0
• Race 8 the HRNSW Guarantee / NSWSOA Ladyship Pace where CASINO COMEDY won for owner Richard Fraser picking up the third and final bonus of the day. CASINO COMEDY is trained on-site by Greg Coney and was driven to victory by his daughter Gemma with a margin of  6.0 metres in a MR of 2:01.9.

The day's competition winners were:

THE PUB DRIVE OF THE DAY: was won by TOM ISON driving ZOEMAGIC from the Brendan James stable in Race 6 the APG 2022 Buyers Benefit Pace.

Tom receives 1 bottle of wine courtesy The Pub, Gunnedah Rd Tamworth.
