Race Meeting Report Thursday 3rd December 2020

Thursday afternoon 3rd December saw an eight (8) race program conducted on a hot and humid early Summer's afternoon. Although showers and storms were forecast for the afternoon, no rain was received until five (5) minutes after the last race was completed and then the heavens opened with 15mm of rain received, which saw the track awash with water.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Spectators, inclusive of Owners, Members and General Public were again welcomed back to the race meeting under strict COVID-Safe conditions. The on-site TAB Tote was in operation.

(a random draw from the local 67 phone area trainers, who have horses engaged in the race meeting, with a time restriction as to when the winning trainer can re-enter subsequent draws)

The EIGHTEENTH draw was won by Trainer: ANTHONY VARGA

ANTHONY receives 2 bags Hygain feed courtesy Hazells Farm & Fertilizer Services.

 

SHORT SEASON PREMIERSHIPS:

Due to the Australian Harness Racing Season changing to 1st January to 31st December each year, the Club has instigated Short Season Premierships to fill the period between the end of the last full premiership season on 31st August 2020 and the start of the new premiership season on 1st January 2021.

The Short Season Premierships will be:

  • Short Season Open Trainers
  • Short Season Open Drivers
  • Short Season Local Trainers
  • Short Season Local Drivers
  • Short Season Drive of the Day
