Track Rules
Conditions of use of the Tamworth Paceway
Horses:
- Standardbred Horses only (Pacers – Trotters)
- Harness Racing NSW licensed persons only
- Approved Vests and Skull Caps to be worn at all times
- All work to be done on the outside of the witches hats (when out)
- GALLOPING only on outside third of main track
- JOGGING only on outside third of main track
- Only one horse driven and one horse lead by a licenced person at any one time
Mini Trotters:
- A supervising adult must be adjacent to the track
- All mini trotter drivers must be registered with an approved mini trotter club.
- If there is a Harness Horse on the track, all mini trotters must work on the inside of the yellow pegs, i.e. in the emergency lane.
Track Availability:
- Track closed 11am to 3pm on the day before RACE DAYS for maintenance
- Track closed from 8am RACE DAYS for maintenance
- Track closed from 10am TRIAL DAYS for maintenance
- Track closed from 8.00am on the third Sunday of each month to allow use of the showground main arena by the Tamworth P&A.
