YES BROTHER YES TOPS THE NIGHT FOR CARROLL by Julie Maughan

Yes Brother Yes really summed up the night of wins for Maitland reinsman Nathan Carroll.

Carroll who recently turned 22 was on a wave of success in driving three winners at Tamworth for three different trainers.

The Jared Hetherington trained Anna Bay Al was the first of Carroll’s wins in the Wests Melbourne Cup Luncheon November 1 Pace.

With Who Killed Kenny (Danny Mackney) leading the field, Carroll elected to take a three wide trail into the race behind Stormy Warrior (Murray Sullivan) before switching four wide on the final bend to flash home for a 5.7 metre win over both Who Killed Kenny (Danny Mackney) and Readily (Lola Weidemann) who were adjudged as a "dead heat".

"He will go on to win a few more races yet" said Carroll after the win of the Presidential Ball USA-Take Charge Lady gelding.

"The horse has been going alright – Jared has worked hard with him" added Carroll "Just have to place him right now - either Tamworth or Newcastle"

Anna Bay Al covered the 1609 metre event with a mile rate of 1.58.8.

"He felt like I was driving a Ferrari today" added Carroll of Anna Bay Al.

Major Charlie then stepped up from the Stacey Elliott stables to have a half neck win over Dontbefoolish (Lola Weidemann) and Tooram Lad (Madi Young) 1.7 metres away third in the Wests Entertainment Group Competitive Stakes (1609m).

With race favourite Artistica Uno (Peter Hedges) leading the field Carroll took a three wide trail into the race behind Dontbefoolish after being at the rear of the field.

"It was a beautiful run – I was tapping him up and he rolled into it real sweet. I am pleased they went hard which put us right into the mix"

"I saw Lola (Weidemann) pop three wide and so I followed her up then came four wide at the turn - then had another crack down the straight which paid off"

Major Charlie was having his first win since May this year which was also on the Tamworth Paceway.

Yes Brother Yes from the Ricky Gordon stables then wrapped up the final event – Mercure Tamworth Opening December Lordship Pace (1980m).

"Ricky has only had him for a short time - I just made the most of it" added Carroll following the Town Champion USA-Misscilla four year old gelding’s win.

Yes Brother Yes had a metre win over Willis (Murray Sullivan) and Lets Play Ball (Lola Weidemann) 4 metres away third.

"I think every treble I drive is at Tamworth – would like to call it home if I could"

Nathan Carroll is a big supporter of country race meetings and has driven eight winners for the month of October so far- five for Maitland trainer Stacey Elliott (Tamworth, and Dubbo) one for Narrabri trainer Jared Hetherington with Carroll coming to the Tamworth meeting after driving Stevie Wander to a win at Newcastle on the Saturday night for Cessnock trainer Dennis Lindsay.
